Cooked these with garlic, lemon and a dash of oil as a special starter. We only had two each and definitely could have eaten a couple more – delicious.

These juicy, chunky scallops combined with chorizo on skewers cooked on the barbecue were just divine. They stayed whole and moist after about 5 minutes cooking, leaving a truly deliciously subtle taste in the mouth. Spectacular!
Ordered these at the same time as some brill etc, which all arrived yesterday for my husband’s birthday. We were just going to have the brill but these looked so plump and juicy that we had one each as a starter. Two would have far too much, given their size.
I served them sauteed with a topping of butter, crushed hazelnuts and coriander – then finished off under the grill. Delicious.
